Welcome to my blog! My name is Anne and I am a mother and wife who has a passion to document my father’s story. He died, suddenly, when I was 15 and he continues, every day, to live on in my memory. I write this for myself, my children, and anyone who I can touch with a story that I hope to one day publish, if simply for the memories it will hold for the future generations of my family. I hope you will find it honest, heartfelt, and encouraging. From my heart to yours, thank you for your support and I hope it will touch you in a personal way. He must live on; he is my hero.
I began writing about my father last year and then summer came and my garden took my time. I want to share, little by little, a paragraph or two each week. This will hopefully keep me on track and continuing to write over the winter months. I am using this as an online journal to document my writing. I do this for myself, as a form of self expression and a way to share my father’s story with my family and friends. I welcome others to read as well, hoping it will touch you in a special way. I believe the world needs as much kindness, honesty, and genuineness as it can get. I hope my words can inspire and heal!
I’m sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine how hard it must be some days rehashing your treasured memories of your father. I think it’s great that you can keep his memory alive and give your children the chance to know him in a way that they may not have been able too. Lots of love. I look forward to reading your story.

Aaw a Lovely and very personal piece shared, it’s lovely to see that you shared a very close bond with your father. Your children will see that and follow you suit.
It’s beautiful that your father still lives in your memories, thoughts and daily writings.
Thank you for sharing.

That’s beautiful, I always feel we should treasure our parents and this very thing is missing in the new generation. So I admire your love and respect for him.

Good for you! Your writing is heartfelt, personal, yet many of us can relate because of a love of our fathers, and a pain from losing them. Thanks for finding me at Roughwighting. Keep it going.

My father died when I was only 6, so I understand the need to hold on and preserve his memory. And honor and love him forever.
